VRF Air Conditioners Exported to Kazakhstan for an Auditorium

With the deepening of China-Kazakhstan economic and trade cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, Sparkey, a company focusing on the R&D, production and export of HVAC systems, successfully won the bid for the air conditioning system project of a multi-functional auditorium in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with its energy-efficient and durable VRF air conditioners.

Basic information of the auditorium:

  • Location: Core urban area of Almaty, Kazakhstan

  • Nature: Key livelihood project built by the local government

  • Total construction area: 1,800 ㎡ (core activity area: 1,200 ㎡; supporting areas: 600 ㎡)

  • Height: 6.8m, capacity: 800-1000 people

  • Functional modes: Banquet mode: 80-100 round tables

  • Wedding mode: Stage, T-stage and viewing area


Kazakhstan’s climate characteristics:

  • Summer: Hot and dry, maximum temperature up to 40℃

  • Winter: Long and cold, minimum temperature down to -30℃

  • Other features: Large day-night temperature difference, dusty and arid environment

Key requirements for the air conditioning system under such climate:

  • Strong cooling and heating capabilities

  • Good energy efficiency and stability

  • Rapid temperature adjustment for large, densely populated spaces

  • No excessive local temperature difference or noise interference

II. Sparkey VRF Air Conditioning System Configuration

Sparkey customized an energy-efficient VRF air conditioning system based on: Auditorium’s usage scenarios and space scale Climate characteristics Load calculation (in line with ASHRAE 55-2020 "Indoor Air Quality Standard")

Core design concept: "On-demand energy supply and precise temperature control"


Outdoor units configuration:

  • Model: Sparkey S-KX series variable frequency VRF units

  • Quantity: 4 units

  • Key features: Designed for cold areas, low-temperature strong heating technology (normal operation at -30℃ without heating attenuation), high-efficiency variable frequency compressors, meeting international energy efficiency standards.


Indoor units configuration (total 28 units, 3 types):

  • Embedded duct units: 16 units, for core activity area

  • Wall-mounted indoor units: 6 units, for reception area

  • Floor-standing exposed indoor units: 6 units, for supporting areas

  • Common features:Independent temperature control, quiet operation (35-40dB)

Auxiliary systems:

  • Intelligent control system: Supports central control and mobile APP remote control

  • Fresh air system: 4 fresh air exchangers with heat recovery function

  • Pipeline system: High-quality copper pipes with thermal insulation
